Grounds
The Bangalow Bluedogs home ground is the Bangalow Sports Fields.
As the sports hub of our small community the Bangalow sports fields are also home to the Bangalow Cricket Club, Bangalow Rugby Club and Bangalow Netball Club.
The fields include the Jeff Schneider Field (JSF), our main senior field, Bang 2 and the Junior playing fields.

Our process
For weekend games the Club will decide as early as possible.
- A field inspection is undertaken on Friday and if it is decided that pitches are not fit to use, the club notifies FFNC who will inform all the away clubs, referees etc.
- If the fields remain open on Friday however, there is substantial rain on Friday night then another inspection will be done at 7.00am on Saturday morning to determine if the fields will remain open
- All updates will be posted on INSTAGRAM, Facebook AND via your team WhatsApp. It is the responsibility of coaches and parents to check these channels and notify teams accordingly.
Training changes or cancellations will ideally be made early on the day of training to ensure communication can be made to teams, parents and kids. However again please ensure you are checking for updates if it’s raining a lot on the day of training.
Some decisions regarding field closures are made via Byron Council and some in conjunction with the advice from Bangalow Soccer Club.
If you have not seen any messages or social posts saying the fields are closed, assume they are OPEN.
Away Games
What happens if my game is cancelled?
For Mini Roos, games may not always be rescheduled as the season is already long and packed with additional Gala Days.
However, the club hopes to work with teams to schedule additional ‘game sessions’ on training days giving teams a chance to play either against other Bangalow Teams or a neighbouring club to make up for some lost games as they occur.
For Junior competitive teams and Senior teams, FFNC endeavours to reschedule postponed games. These games are generally scheduled mid week.

Support your club
Club donations play a vital role in helping the Bangalow Bluedogs continue to operate and grow. As a small, community-run club, every contribution helps cover essential costs like equipment, ground hire, uniforms, and player development.
